building at Sitakunda in Chittagong District. An explosion injured
two Policemen. Police recovered 10 bombs, three suicide vests

bombs.

a powerful bomb explosion on Sylhet-Fenchuganj road in Gutartik
area Sylhet District around 7:00pm. The deceased are Wahidul
Islam Opu, Kadim Shah and Jannatul Fahim (18). Islamic State
claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Three persons killed, including two Policemen,
were killed in a powerful bomb explosion at around 8:00 pm close
to Atia Mahal in Sylhet District. The dead are Chowdhury Abu
Mohammad Kaiser, an Inspector of Court Police in Sylhet, Monirul
Islam, Inspector (Investigation) of Jalalabad Police Station
and Shahidul Islam, a businessman of Dariapara in Sylhet city.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the bombing.

den at Nasirpur village in Moulvibazar District. Police said
the militants may have blown themselves up to avoid arrest when

an Islamist militant hideout killing three militants (two males
and a female) at Borohat in Moulvibazar District. Police suspect
the "militants" killed themselves by exploding bombs. Some powerful
explosives, including IEDs, were also recovered and then defused
inside the building.

Four Neo-JMB militants holed up at a den in
Shibnagar Trimohoni of Chapainawabganj District was killed as
Operation Eagle Hunt concluded. Rafiqul Islam alias Abu was
among the dead. Police said all the four persons were killed
in suicide bomb explosions. Abu's pregnant wife Sumaiya Begum
and their six-year-old daughter Khadiza were rescued from the
den. Police recovered IEDs, bombs and pistols from the den.

Five suspected militants and one fire-fighter
were killed in a militant hideout in Benipur village of Rajshahi
District. Five militants, including Sazzad, his wife Beli, their
sons Alamin, 30, and Soheb, 25, and daughter Karima, 18, died
in the suicide bomb explosions. While, fire-fighter Abdul Motin
died when taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Shazzad's
another daughter Sumaiya and her two children have surrendered.
Locals say they were all involved with the politics of JeI.

District. Three IEDs, seven detonators, 12 packs of explosives

were killed in a clash between the villagers and cadres of Hizb-ut
Tawhid over a dispute for construction of a mosque at Korpora
village in Noakhali District. 50 people were also injured in
the clash. 113 cadres of Hizb-ut Tawhid were arrested for the
incident.

28 persons including 20 civilians, six militants
and two Police officers were killed in a hostage crisis at Holey
Artisan Bakery, a Spanish restaurant at Dhaka city's Gulshan
diplomatic zone. Joint Security Force rescued 13 people from
the restaurant. Around 53 people were injured in an exchange
of gunfire between Police and gunmen. One militant was arrested
in the incident. IS claimed responsibility of the attack. A
pistol used by terrorists, folded butt AK 22 rifle, IED, walkie-talkie
set and a large number of locally made sharp weapons were recovered
from the spot.

drive of the joint forces in Dhaka city's Kalyanpur area. One
militant was arrested from the spot with bullet injuries. Another
one escaped. The joint force recovered 13 locally made grenades,

magazines of 7.62mm pistols, 22 bullets, three commando knives
and 12 guerrilla knives and two black flags with Arabic letters.

the mastermind of Gulshan attack and his two close aides were
killed in a Police raid in JMB den in Paikpara area under Narayanganj
District. Police recovered an AK-22 rifle, one pistol, several

spot.

the Police opened fire to disperse a mob of villagers led by

identified as Waliullah (18), Matiur Rahman Mati (45), and Rabiul
Islam (25).

Three persons were killed and another 100 got
injured as Hefajat-e-Islam and JeI cadres clashed with AL men
in Fatikchhari sub-District of Chittagong District during the
countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal. The fighting continued for
nearly four hours, leaving at least 100 people including 15
policemen and five firefighters wounded.

At least three persons were killed as a group
of JeI cadres attacked an AL meeting at Umarpur village under
Shibganj sub-District of Chapainawabganj District. The deceased
were identified as AL activists - Nurshed Ali and Nasir Uddin
and JeI cadre Bhabanipur Madrassah. The fierce clash also left
at least 50 others injured. During the clash, JeI cadres exploded
at least 10 crude bombs and set fire to several houses belonging
to AL supporters.

were killed in clash with Police after the JeI-ICS cadres brought
out a procession and fired at Police without any provocation
at South Dhurong Bazar. The deceased were identified as Mohammad
Yunus (20), Abu Bakkar Siddique (65) and Ismail Parvez (35).
The fight also left 10 JeI-ICS cadres and seven Policemen injured.

In Noakhali District, JeI-ICS cadres clashed
with law enforcers in Companiganj sub-District leaving six ICS
cadres dead and 15 others injured. The clash erupted when Police
intercepted a procession brought out by JeI-ICS cadres from
the KM Model High School. The deceased were Motiur (22), Raihan
(21), Abdus Sattar (24), Saiful Islam (21), Sajib (22) and Russel
(20).

In Nilphamari District, the motorcade of AL
lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor came under attack from JeI-ICS cadres.
The attack on the motorcade triggered a clash between JeI-ICS
cadres and AL activists near Ramganj Bazar leaving five AL acvtivists
killed in the clash. The victims are Khorshed Chowdhury (50),
Farhad Hossain (35), Lebu (30), Murad Hossain (35) and Abu Bakar
Siddique (45). At least 50 people, mostly AL activists, were
injured in the clash.

In Lalmonirhat District, three ICS cadres and
one AL supporter were killed and at least three others were
injured during instances of violence in Patgram sub-District.
The deceased were ICS cadres Manirul Islam (28), Abdur Rahman
(30) and Shaju Islam (24). The AL activist, Mantu Mia, was beaten
to death for what was apparently revenge for the death of three
ICS cadres.
