Timeline Bhutan Year 2011

February 25

Bhutan Prime Minister Lyonchhen Jigmi Thinley said that law-breakers from Assam, especially militant groups including the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), will not be allowed to take refuge in his country. He categorically said that the ULFA had stopped setting up base in Bhutan and the leaders and activists of the outfit had left the neighbouring country. "There is no ULFA camp in Bhutan. People of Assam who are not law-abiding will not be allowed to take refuge in Bhutan," Thinley told reporters at Borjhar airport.
