cadre blew himself opposite the Kali Kovil (Temple). The suicide
cadre had apparently jumped onto the motor bike on which the two
persons were travelling near Satyavilan road, some 17- kilometres
from Batticaloa town. The police spokesman Senior Deputy Inspector
General of Police N.K. Ilangakone said that police confirmed the
persons have been killed due to a suicide blast. "A woman
passing by was also admitted to the hospital after sustaining
injuries in the incident," said military spokesman Brigadier
Udaya Nanayakkara said.

the office, two militants were killed. Dead bodies of two LTTE
militants along with one T-56 weapon, three hand grenades, one
cyanide capsule, and mobile phone were recovered from the incident
site.
